Planned Maintenance: Production Client Certificate Update Aug 24, 2026 10:00-10:30 CEST

We would like to inform you about a scheduled maintenance activity affecting our production environment. As part of our regular security and certificate lifecycle management, we will replace the production client certificate used for secure communication with our services. This update is part of our ongoing efforts to maintain a secure and reliable service.

Maintenance Window
------------------------
24.08.2026 from 10:00 CEST to 10:30 CEST

Impact
--------
No service interruption is expected during the maintenance window.

Customers who rely solely on standard TLS certificate validation and do not explicitly manage our client certificate are not expected to take any action.

Required Action
------------------
If your systems validate or pin our client certificate, or if you maintain an allowlist of client certificates, you may need to update your configuration with the new certificate.

The new production client certificate can be downloaded from the following URL.

If you require assistance with the update, please contact our support team prior to the maintenance by sending an email to it-service@webid-solutions.de.

We appreciate your cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience this maintenance may cause.

Kind regards
WebID IT Service Team

Scheduled - Dear Customer,

as part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a secure and reliable service for our SFTP server (sftp.webid.solutions), we will be performing scheduled maintenance on our systems.

Maintenance Window:
Date: 28.07.2026
Time: 09:00 CEST
Expected Duration: 60 minutes

What is changing?
During this maintenance window, we will implement several security enhancements, including:
• Remediation of identified security vulnerabilities.
• Removal of legacy and weak SSH Key Exchange (KEX) algorithms.
• Removal of weak HMAC (Hash-based Message Authentication Code) algorithms.

Impact
The following algorithms will be removed from our SFTP server.
KEX algorithm
• ecdh-sha2-nistp256
• ecdh-sha2-nistp384
• ecdh-sha2-nistp521

Key algorithm
• ecdsa-sha2-nistp256

HMAC algorithm
• hmac-sha1
hmac-sha1-etm@openssh.com

While we aim to complete the work without interruption, customers may experience brief connectivity interruptions during the maintenance window. SSH clients or automated systems that rely on deprecated or weak cryptographic algorithms may no longer be able to establish connections after the maintenance has been completed.

Recommended Actions
We recommend verifying that your SFTP connections, automation tools, and network devices do not use one of the above algorithms.
