as part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a secure and reliable service for our SFTP server (sftp.webid.solutions), we will be performing scheduled maintenance on our systems.
What is changing? During this maintenance window, we will implement several security enhancements, including: • Remediation of identified security vulnerabilities. • Removal of legacy and weak SSH Key Exchange (KEX) algorithms. • Removal of weak HMAC (Hash-based Message Authentication Code) algorithms.
Impact The following algorithms will be removed from our SFTP server. KEX algorithm • ecdh-sha2-nistp256 • ecdh-sha2-nistp384 • ecdh-sha2-nistp521
While we aim to complete the work without interruption, customers may experience brief connectivity interruptions during the maintenance window. SSH clients or automated systems that rely on deprecated or weak cryptographic algorithms may no longer be able to establish connections after the maintenance has been completed.
Recommended Actions We recommend verifying that your SFTP connections, automation tools, and network devices do not use one of the above algorithms.
